American Mushroom Institute (AMI) - AMI is a national voluntary trade association representing the growers, processors, and marketers of cultivated mushrooms in the United States and industry suppliers worldwide. AMI works to develop better and more economical methods of growing and marketing mushrooms. They collect, analyze and disseminate the latest statistics and other valuable information. They also represent the industry in its relations with various branches of government, foster research beneficial to the industry and aid members with problems allied to the industry. For more than 49 years, the American Mushroom Institute has been a leader for the United States mushroom industry. When an industry speaks with one voice through a trade association, the results are far greater than what could be achieved by any single individual.

American Mushroom Council - In 1990, the Mushroom Promotion, Research and Consumer Information Act was passed by Congress to strengthen the mushroom industry’s position in the marketplace, maintain and expand existing markets and uses for mushrooms, and develop new markets and uses for mushrooms. In 1993, the Mushroom Council was established to carry out the direction of this act. Today, the Mushroom Council plays a very important role in the national promotion of fresh mushrooms through consumer public relations, foodservice communications and retail communications. Thanks to the Mushroom Council, mushrooms have their own month to be honoured and eaten. September is National Mushroom Month. Today mushrooms are commercially produced in virtually every state. Pennsylvania, however, still accounts for 61% of total U.S. production. Paris to the dinner tables of millions of Americans, fresh mushrooms have come out of the dark and into a spotlight that’s intensity is ever increasing

Kennett Square Mushroom Festival - Kennett Square, Pennsylvania has long been known as “The Mushroom Capital of the World,” with more mushroom growing operations concentrated in the Southern Chester County area than any other area in the United States. The Mushroom Festival promotes our favorite crop, MUSHROOMS, Kennett Square and tourism in Southern Chester County. Over 100,000 visitors come from far and wide to experience our “Small Town America” Festival. The Mushroom Festival is a volunteer organization whose proceeds are distributed to a wide variety of charities and organizations benefiting the residents of Kennett Square and the surrounding communities. In addition to local non-profit organizations, we also support the National Prostate Cancer Coalition and Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Produce Marketing Association (PMA) - Founded in 1949, Produce Marketing Association is the leading trade association representing nearly 3,000 companies from every segment of the global produce and floral supply chain. Members rely on PMA year round for the business solutions they need to increase sales and consumption, build strong professional relationships, and expand their business opportunities.
